Your group leader is likely planning your group trip through a tour operator. There are several questions you should ask of the tour operator.

• Is the travel provider (tour operator) experienced in student and youth travel?
• What is the travel provider's plan for dealing with health care issues, accidents, and other emergencies? 
• Is the travel provider a member of an association with membership requirements such as SYTA?
• Does the travel provider have professional liability insurance and consumer protection?
• Is everything included in the package price clearly stated and in writing?
